In this section, you can access inquiry exercises, literature connections, kit supplements, sample tests, and a way to contact scientists.
The inquiry exercises were written for grades 5-8.
The literature connections were collected in 2006.
Kit supplements include diagrams, videos, and examples that teachers have requested to help conduct activities.
The sample tests for grades 5 and 8 are multiple choice, designed to exercise higher-order thinking skills.
The scientist contacts are a link to the NC Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Center who run the Teacher Link program that was a part of CIBL's Teachers and Scientists Collaborating (TASC) program.
Our staff and students have thoroughly
enjoyed the hands on approach to teaching. It brings excitement and
curiosity into the classroom by offering a different approach to the diverse
world of science.
