Science Kit FAQs
Q. When will my kit arrive?
A. Teachers are enrolled to receive kits they are trained on in an academic
quarter after the training. Ask your district administrator what quarter
you will receive a kit and check the CIBL calendar for the kit arrival
date.
Q. What is the deadline for returning my kit to CIBL?
A. The date of the kit return deadline is available on our calendar and
is included in each kit on a pink sheet of paper.
Q. Is this deadline the last date to ship the kit or the date it must be
received in the CIBL Warehouse?
A. This is the last date to ship the kit. Overdue kits are subject to a
$100.00 late fee.
Q. If I forgot to return an item from my kit, how
do I get it to the CIBL Warehouse?
A. Contact Ginny and send items as soon
as possible, to our shipping address:
Virginia Riley, 913 Ramseur Street, Durham, NC 27701
Q. Why have I only received 8 student guides for my 24 students?
A. CIBL provides the number of student guides for each kit as specified
by the kit vendor. We advocate sharing and working in groups.
Q. My kit was delivered to a different school in my district. Why did this
happen?
A. Our shipper, Federal Express, sorts and bundles kits by delivery address.
Occasionally, a kit with a different delivery address is included in a bundle
by mistake.
Q. Teachers at my school who are not attending trainings received kits
this week. I will be attending training, and have not received my kit. Why
is this happening?
A. Teachers who have completed training in a previous year are eligible
to borrow that kit from CIBL in subsequent years.
Q. I have called FedEx three times and they still haven’t picked
up my kit. What do I do? Will I be responsible for late fees?
A. Contact Ginny immediately. We do
not impose late fees if you make an effort to return the kit
in a timely way.
