Gary is a professor and director of undergraduate studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from North Carolina State University in 1982, 1986 and 1992, respectively. His research interests include microwave imaging of the human breast for the early detection of breast cancer. He also specializes in K-12 science and engineering education outreach.
